Vision and Mission Statement
The Pro-Ethiopia Foundation Admas was established in Amsterdam in 2003 under Dutch Law. It is a legally independent non-profit organisation which is intended to function as a bridge between the Ethiopians in the Diaspora and the homeland to promote a genuine grassroots discourse of national reconstruction and renewal.
Admas makes an effort to engage in the fields of Education, Development, Culture, and Research. The general objective is to activate the Diaspora community to maintain its identity and culture at the same time as making a positive contribution to the situation in the motherland. Practically speaking this means encouraging dialogue and mutual understanding.
The positive energy of the Diaspora needs to be channelled to empower the disadvantaged and underprivileged in Ethiopia. Diaspora groups familiar with the resources of the West and the reality of the situation on the ground in Ethiopia, can make a special contribution to effective development and exchange of know-how. The youth and upcoming generation of the Diaspora will discover new strength and resilience if they can engage themselves in a meaningful way concerning their country of origin.
