The Objective and Vision of Amen Ethiopia
The project’s main aim is to promote the solidarity and renewal essential for national reconstruction and development. The turn of the millennium presents a window of opportunity to work for a paradigm shift in mentalities, leaving behind the instability and polarization that have prevailed in Ethiopia in the last decades. The project intends to promote a gradual change of attitudes focusing on solidarity and unity in diversity. The journey is part of a wider program aimed at raising awareness through a series of symposiums, spiritual activities and publicity raising events, intended to mobilize the Ethiopian Diaspora and link them with events in the motherland. The Ethiopian new Millennium is an appropriate time to open a new chapter in national life. After the completion of the journey diverse ongoing initiatives are being launched to ensure the continuation of the vision in different ways, particularly the opening up of new areas of intercommunity dialogue.
